Dear Boudica, one always remembers previous, apparently better times. I know your story. You were driven out of the East End of London. I experienced something similar: the authorities persecuted me because I was “different” from the usual philistines. — But you have to be patient, things will get better again. For you too. — To cheer you up, I’m sending you my private YouTube playlist, because music can be healing:

HAPPY XMAS. I was a stallholder in Spitalfields market for a few years in early 1990 and loved it. Everyone was so friendly. I have not been back as I want to keep and cherish the memories of that magical and special time. i remember selling a book to Gilbert and George but did not know at that time who they were.I used to eat in the cafe they frequented. All the best for the coming year.
Hi happy Christmas to you yes thee market had many memories it’s been over six years since I went and I miss it
