sounds a better way to celebrate Bank Holiday Sunday than what’s currently available! Here where I live Notting Hill Carnival is cancelled for the second year running, which I can understand as big crowds are breeding grounds for Covid transmission.
Hi thanks for your message wych we just got so I bet you’re pleased thee carnival is cancelled as I used to see on thee news that in Notting hill people used to have to board up there winders and it used to get so busy and thee noise was to loud
No I like Carnival and the atmosphere and it’s the shops that board up their windows to prevent looting rather than doing it for the noise. I don’t live near any of the sound systems so that’s not a problem. It can be really joyful and the floats with costumes have months and months of preparation put in to them and can be lovely to look at. I’m sad it’s been cancelled two years running but it wouldn’t be responsible to hold it and spread more Covid.
